Before departure, many students carried few expectations,
simply following the preparation step by step until the journey began.
Accompanying the group, Nick observed subtle but meaningful changes along the way.
He noted that the most visible growth came from students’ emotional resilience when facing challenges.
For many, this was also their first experience travelling without washroom facilities—
not only a physical discomfort, but a quiet mental adjustment.
Remarkably, students adapted with surprising speed.
Looking back, the journey felt gently blessed by timing.
Had it been a week earlier or later, the group might have faced cold fronts or heavy rain.
Instead, clear and dry weather allowed students to fully focus on walking, cooperating, and being present.
When the adventure ended and students returned to campus,
their eyes sparkled with the same words:
“That was actually really fun.”
In their first OAEP experience,
students didn’t just complete an outdoor expedition—
they learned to observe themselves, understand others,
and find their own rhythm of moving forward as a team.
